How can a user change his own password with Firebird 1.0 or 1.5?
It is not possible in the default install, but you can hack the security database to allow this. Please read these instructions provided by Ivan Prenosil:
http://www.volny.cz/iprenosil/interbase/ip_ib_isc4.htm
Of course, with never Firebird versions, users can change their own passwords using the Services API or gsec tool directly.
